Laurence is an intellectual property attorney at NovoTech Patent Firm and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
Laurence provides legal counseling on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark infringement and validity opinions, drafting and prosecuting applications for patent and trademark, counseling on intellectual property strategy, and drafting licenses and joint venture agreements relating to patent, trade secret, trademark, right of publicity, trade dress and copyright.
Laurence has experience in patent, trademark and trade dress litigation, in cases before various United States District Courts, the International Trade Commission and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Laurence also has experience in the arbitration of intellectual property matters. He has experience in a wide range of technologies, including wireless communication, optical fiber, RFID systems, D/A converters, surgical appliances, propulsion, antenna systems, liquid crystal displays, encryption, data mining military weapons systems, and night-vision systems, and has industry experience as an electronic systems engineer.
Laurence is admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia Bar, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
